BRIC is an acronym from the name of countries, namely Brazil, Russia, India and China. These are big countries who became the hope of the world.Popularizedone of the largest investment banks globally in 2001, BRIC is now asymbol of the four largest developing country in the world. Not only that, they predicted would become the world's fourth largest economy this year.


"Becauseof this label, they now became the main destination of foreigninvestors to invest their capital," said Deputy Director of BankMandiri Riswinandi in his statement at Bank Mandiri, Wednesday, October27, 2010.
Riswinandi mentioned, Indonesia has been properly aligned with the BRIC countries. Because in terms of potentials, vast country, and the Indonesian economy was equivalent.
"Indonesiahas all the prerequisites that must be possessed to get into the eliteranks of the developing countries. Thus, there is no reason to add 'I'in the acronym BRIC, which became BRICI," said Riswinandi.Thus,this label will make Indonesia a major destination of foreign investorsto invest in both investment portfolios and also foreign directinvestment (FDI).
